Hi. This is Xinru.

I’m a Ph.D student in the Department of Computer Science, Purdue University, fortunate to be advised by Prof. Ming Yin. My research lies at the intersection of human-computer interaction (HCI) and AI, with a focus on explainable AI (XAI). I utilize both experimental and computational approaches to explore how human decision makers can be better assisted by AI, and finally seek to better design AI systems that human users can interact with effectively.

Prior to Ph.D, I received my B.S in Intelligence Science and B.S in Psychology (dual degree) from Peking University, China.
